This week in the Wellness Center, we hosted our Joven Noble group on Tuesday and we will be hosting our Xinachtli group this Friday. For both groups we had a very generous donation from the manager of the new Raising Cane’s in Palm Springs. He donated food for the boys group and will be doing the same for our ladies! It has been so wonderful to see these groups begin to evolve. We have also seen a number of students through drop in as well.
A new mindfulness board is up with helpful strategies for student ( or teachers) to use. As a reminder, this space is available for teachers as well! If you need a place to decompress, talk or just take a break please don’t hesitate to come by!

On Thursday, Egypt spoke to all Freshman and Sophomores, and on Friday he encouraged the Juniors and Seniors.

CTE - The Green Academy
Thank you to Mr. Kreps and students for beautifying DM and for the beautification completed at Lady Guadalupe Church in Mecca. The green team had a unique opportunity to pick up some donated plants and learn from professionals in the field. Student Leadership Opportunity - Youth Advisory Team
The California Center for School Climate (CCSC) is a California Department of Education project operated by WestEd, and they are inviting students to apply to be part of a Youth Advisory Team. I have attached some general information and the application questions for reference, but students must apply online at the link below. The deadline is March 7th.
