From the Middle EMS and ELA
News from the Principal, September 22, 2020
Hello Parents and Families,
As summer officially comes to a close, we have a lot to celebrate at EMS and ELA. Students are doing an amazing job with their learning, even amidst all the adjustments this year. Here are some thoughts from teachers about the first 4 weeks of school. I am so grateful for our amazing staff at EMS and ELA.
Kids have gotten into their routines and are dealing with the long class time every day well
Loving smaller class sizes and the ability to spend more time 1-on-1 with kids.
I have great connections with the kids. They laugh a lot, they participate, and they are certainly learning.
They are engaged and I hear every kid's voice every day they are in class, without fail, which is building more community.
I am excited to get back to teaching every year but I have to admit that starting out this year, I was a bit hesitant. Turns out, everything is going really well.
This is my best year teaching. I feel effective, respected, and just love these kids beyond words. As weird as it is, I love this year for teaching
It has felt "normal" teaching in-person, and I'm happy to build such great relationships with the kids in such a challenging time for everyone.
I think everyone is doing a great job. This year is hard and wonderful all at the same time!
If at any time you need anything, please do not hesitate to reach out.
