Once parents decide to separate and divorce, family members move through several stages of adjustment. Children may fear of being abandoned or losing their parents love. Divorce forces many children into single-parent families or blended families. Over a million families are affected by divorce every year nationwide. Each year thousands of children under the age 18 are affected in Nebraska.

Divorce is painful, its painful to everyone who's around them. It can cause many emotional and financial problems. It also can cause anger, loneliness, sadness and low self-esteem. The couples should consider counseling and seeing whats the issue before considering divorce. Also divorce is expensive and that can cause problems. Its also can add responsibilities on the parents and they might struggle more.
