Kindergarten for 2023-2024
If you have a child who will turn 5 by August 1, 2023, they are eligible for kindergarten! Please fill out the registration form below or call the school office. Once we have your information, we will call you to set up a screening for your child. This gives us valuable information to help figure out how to best help your child learn. You don't have to "pass" the screening to come to kindergarten. It is not that kind of test. It just gives us information to help us teach your child. Our Kindergarten Orientation Night is Tuesday, April 18. On that night we will let your child do activities in the kindergarten room and ride the big yellow school bus. Parents will meet in the cafeteria to learn more about our school and kindergarten. We will have someone there to help you with registration online if needed.

Robotics Going to State Competition
Our Robotics Team has been working really hard this year. They have participated in several competitions the past month. One of our teams won the Excellence Award and qualified for the State Competition on March 25, 2023. If they win at state, they will be able to go to Dallas, Texas in May for the Worlds Competition! This is a very big deal!! We are very proud of our Robotics Team. We are also very grateful for Mrs. Little and Mr. Childs for all their work with the team. However, we will need your help to make our trip to Worlds a reality. We need to raise a lot of money to pay for the teams airfare, hotel, food, transportation, and registration. We will have several fundraisers in March and April to try to raise funds in time for the May Worlds Tournament in May (if we win at the State Competition). If your family or business would like to help support our team, you can click on the link below to donate. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our school office at 260-786-3021.

Star Lab
The Star Lab is Coming! The Star Lab is an inflatable planetarium where students can experience the stars! On March 22 and 23, the Star Lab will be set up for classes to have an "out of this world" experience! The instructor, Mrs. Thieme, will show the students a variety of constellations and tell the stories behind them. We will talk about how these stories are myths, made up stories that try to explain how things came to be. It has been two years since we have been able to run the Star Lab, so the older students may remember it, but many students and teachers will experience this for the first time. Get ready to see the stars!
New: Eventlink
Eventlink is a new app you can join to stay on top of your child's school events. If you have children in more than one school, you can follow several schools. For example, if you have children at Andrews, Riverview and the high school, you will have one place to see all the events your children may be involved in at school. Follow the directions below to join Eventlink. If you have questions, please contact Mrs. Cocklin in the school office at 260-786-3021.

Help Needed: Recess and/or Cafeteria substitutes
We are in search of adults who would be willing to come in for a couple of hours in the middle of the day to help in the cafeteria or at recess. When we are short staffed our teachers end up helping with lunch duty. This takes away their time to collaborate or work with students who need makeup work or extra help. If you are home during the day and would be willing to be put on a substitute list for cafeteria and/or recess, please call the school office and talk to Mrs. Cocklin. She can help you fill out the paperwork and put you on our list to call when we are short staffed. The pay is $12.86 an hour. If you enjoy working with children, please consider becoming a substitute for us. If you have any questions, please call Mrs. Cocklin at 260-786-3021.
