Oct. 13 Free/Reduced Sports Physicals - good for 18 months

We will have a pop-up clinic on October 13th at Romig which can provide sports physicals and other services.Anchorage School Based Health Centers (ASBHC) has been a program available in other Anchorage Middle Schools. This fall, they will hold a clinic at Romig. This convenient and optional service is comprehensive and age-appropriate, similar to what is provided in a pediatric or family medicine office, such as physical exams, and treatment for acute illness, infection or injury. PARENT CONSENT IS REQUIRED BEFORE ANY SERVICES ARE PROVIDED.

Although ASBHC services have a fee, they can bill insurance or Denali KidCare. Also, students can receive care regardless of ability to pay and discounts are available based on income and family size.

While open to anyone with completed registration forms, this service targets students who do not have a primary care provider (regular doctor's office). If a student receives a physical exam, it will be current for 18 months. If you were unable to get a physical with your regular doctor over the summer, please consider having your student get one at school.

If you have questions or comments, please check out their website www.aksbhc.org

Or contact Heather Ireland, ASBHC Program Director, 742-0479.

Forms must be completed and dropped off to the nurse before October 13th.

Picture Retakes Oct. 19th

Please plan to do your picture re-takes on Oct. 19th if you missed the first round of pictures or want a re-do. Photos will be taken on the stage during lunches.
