Beck Weekly Update
Parent Info for Friday, October 21, 2022
Beck Centennial Elementary
Attendance Line!
Happy Friday, October 21!
I'm sure you've noticed the lack of smore newsletters the last few weeks. My apologies! It seems that I caught whatever virus was floating around (tested - NOT Covid!), and it turned into pneumonia. So I've been out of school for almost 2 weeks. And I missed EVERYONE very much! I'm so glad to be back this week!
This week I'm playing catch up, however! I'll try and get information out to you at the beginning of next week regarding Parent Teacher Conferences. Those are scheduled for Nov. 7, 9 and 10. We are using SchoolSoft again this year to schedule those conference times. Conferences can be scheduled in-person and virtually. I will send out a separate SMORE on Monday with exact directions on how to register for SchoolSoft and days and times available to meet with your child's teacher.
This week we also awarded classrooms who hit their goal in the fund raiser with a snow cone! A big thank you to our entire community for their generous support of our school with this year's BFV fund raiser! Over $22,000! Thank you for your generous support of our school.
I hope everyone has an enjoyable weekend!

UCS Elementary Handbook
One of the most popular questions involves cell phones for students. Elementary students are asked not to bring cell phones to school. They are not needed, and use of other technology is provided to students as needed for school work while at school. Due to circumstances at home, however, with family schedules, it may be necessary for a student to need to bring their phone to school. IF a parent would like their child to carry their cell phone to school please follow these two guidelines:
- A note from parent requesting student bring their phone (so we know you approved), and
- Student parks phone in teacher's cupboard, or our office 'cell phone parking lot'
