School Mass
I need your help. Mass should be interactive and especially for our School Mass.
We need to model and encourage our students to respond to Father when they are supposed and that our students can and should also sing along with the choir. We don't have to be singers to sing in church!
Responses should be said loud and proud :)
Below are a few of the songs that Mr. Beck will also be working on with students in music class but can also be reinforced in classes. If you need copies, just let me know.
Table of Plenty pg 310
All are welcome pg 304
Come now is the time to worship pg 540
Miracle of grace pg 359
10,000 reasons (bless the Lord) pg 560
Let's make Monday School Mass the best mass of the week!!!
Relationships, Relationships, Relationships
Relationships, Relationships, Relationships!!!! This probably should have been MY #OneWord2019. Relationships are the most important thing in education. You need to build relationships with students FIRST... students don't learn from teachers they don't like. Relationships go beyond being 'nice' to your students or knowing their names. How do you make real connections with the kids you work with? Do you know what their interests are? What are their passions and aspirations? I challenge you to take 2 min a day to talk to a student and really get to know them, you may be surprised by what you learn.
How about with your colleagues? How do you connect with them? Do you support them, listen, encourage? The relationships with the adults around us help build a trusting community where we can lean on each other! There are days when we feel like just shutting our doors but there are other times that we want someone to just listen. Remember that we all approach our work differently based on our own skills, interests and experiences but together we make a GREAT TEAM!
