A Few Matters of Form
Colloquialisms
When using a colloquialism or slang, just use it. Don't draw attention to the slang by putting it in quotations.
Examples:
1. His work approach was very "laid back".
2. This presentation is the "real deal".
These quotations are unnecessary and should be taken out.

Exclamations(!!!)
Don't try emphasize simple sentences with an exclamation mark.
