NJHS Reaches Fundraiser Goal
The National Junior Honor Society was responsible for middle school chapel on Thursday. Following a brief devotional, Don Williams of the North Alabama Christian Children’s Home spoke about the work there and how young people may assist in the effort to care for these children.
Afterward, Boone Carter, NJHS president, announced the honor society’s success in reaching their fundraiser goal of $1000 for community service this year. Members repeatedly hosted bake sales in the cafeteria to raise the amount of money targeted. On behalf of the Mars Hill Chapter of the National Junior Honor Society, Boone presented to Don Williams a check for $500 for the North Alabama Christian Children’s Home. Also, he announced that another $500 check has been mailed to Make-A-Wish Foundation in honor of Nolan Binion, one of our students who has benefited from this program.
Congratulations and "Thank You" to the MH chapter of the National Junior Honor Society and to Mrs. Ridinger for their hard work and servant spirit.
