Fall Festival Parade and Social
The Salford Hills Fall Parade will be held on October 31st at 1:30. In order to continue the tradition of our annual Fall Parade at Salford Hills, we must ask all spectators attending the parade to sign in near the entrance of the playground. There will be no access to the building for spectators. (Homeroom Parents only will enter at the Main Entrance at 1:15)
At the conclusion of the parade, students will return to their classrooms for their Fall Festival Party. Unfortunately, we are unable to accommodate anyone other than Homeroom Parents for this social.
Reminders:
- Masks may not be worn to the Fall Parade or Fall Parties
- Minimal make-up is permitted. Your entire face must be visible.
- No weapons or props are permitted
- These reminders are true for both children and adults.

Picture Retake Tomorrow October 26th
Students who were absent on picture day or would like to have their pictures retaken will have their picture taken tomorrow, October 26th.

Race for Education Update
While Race Day has passed, sponsor donations are still being accepted as our total climbs closer and closer to our fundraising goal for this year!
If you would still like to support a student you can send in a check made out to: "Salford Hills H&S" with the student's name & "Race for Education" in the memo,
or donate through paypal here (please enter their name in the notes section).
Every dollar is gratefully received, deeply appreciated and wisely used to directly support our Salford Hills Community. Thank you for all the support you have shown our students!
Last year’s yearbook was a hit! But, we cannot do it without YOUR help!!
We'd love if you could snap some photos during school events you attend and

Buddy classes started painting Kindness Rocks this week. A big thank you goes out to our Home and School Association for taking on this project! The Kindness Rocks will be displayed in our Kindness Rock Garden once they are complete.
Therapy Dogs Visit Salford Hills!
We welcomed therapy dogs, Gunny & Jima back to Salford Hills this week for a special visit with students. Gunny and Jima are trained through Comfort Caring Canines and love to visit with our students. They get lots of hugs, belly rubs and the chance to hear a story or two from our hard-working readers! We are looking forward to more visits with them throughout the year!
Team 41 took their ordinary fingerprints and got creative to make extraordinary designs on pumpkins.
Room 54 Character Counts Spirit Days
4th graders chosen as Peer Mentors under the PAL program participated in their training this week. They joined 4th graders from across the district to play new games and learn communication and problem-solving skills that they will use while they mentor 1st graders during a weekly recess group.
Next Meeting: Tuesday Nov. 14th at 6:15pm! **Time Change!**
Our next Home & School Meeting will be Tuesday Nov. 14th at 6:15pm in the SH Cafeteria. The Indian Valley Education Foundation (IVEF) will be there to make a brief presentation and answer any questions you may have. Please join us to meet other parents, learn about HSA events and volunteer opportunities, as well as bring any ideas, concerns, or questions to the Board. Childcare will be provided. We hope to see you there!
Mobile Device Use Agreement for 2023-2024
In preparation for your child's use of a 1-to-1 device in the 2023-2024 school year, please complete the Mobile Device Use Agreement and pay the device protection fee. Please see the details below.
1-to-1 EQUIPMENT: STUDENT DEVICES/CHARGERS/CASES
COMPLETE AGREEMENT / PAY FEE
Each year, the student/parent mobile device use agreement must be completed, and the device protection fee must be paid, via one of the methods below.
- Option 1 - Complete agreement and pay fee online.
*Note: If you have never paid through Pay Online/RevTrak, you will need to create an account.
- Option 2 - Print agreement and make payment in-person: Complete and sign the Student/Parent Agreement (English | Spanish | Vietnamese). Please send the signed agreement and payment for the device fee to school with your child.
***Student ID's can be found in your Home Access Center Account***
Devices will be distributed to students during the first week of school.

Salford Hills Home and School Association (HSA) Volunteer Registration Form 2023-2024
The Salford Hills HSA invites you to volunteer at Salford Hills this year! The HSA helps coordinate volunteers for classroom activities, social events, school events, etc. As a volunteer, you are welcome to serve as much or as little as you wish. For example, help during a specific event, assist in organizing an event, lead a committee, help in your child's classroom, and more. There are so many ways to serve Salford Hills and we would love to connect you with opportunities that would be a good fit for you and your family.
In order to be contacted regarding these opportunities, you must join our volunteer list by filling out the form below. There is no commitment by joining our volunteer list. By signing up, you will simply join our list to be notified of events needing volunteers and other opportunities to get involved. Thank you for helping serve our students, families, teachers, and staff at Salford Hills!
