Week 34
Ms. Rice's First Grade Newsletter
From Ms. Rice
Last week was full of excitement as we learned all about bird adaptations! We will learn how to write poems this week in Writer's Workshop and begin a Fairy Tale Unit on Friday. We will also focus more in depth on characters and make predictions about what they will do in Reader's Workshop. In language arts, we will review final stable syllables, punctuation, conjunctions, story structure and alliteration. In math, we will continue to practice subtraction fluency and review. We will work on preparing for the Literacy Cafe' so we can show off what we have learned and how far we have come. You won't want to miss it!
Don't forget to check out this great site!
