I Love to Read and Write Week Virtual Author Visit!

Last week we celebrated all things literary at BPMS. We had guest readers in the classrooms, a staff skit of the hilarious book The Day the Crayons Quit, and a wonderful author visit by acclaimed writer Candace Fleming. Thanks to a generous grant from our PIE organization, we got to spend an hour learning about Ms. Fleming's writing process and her inspiration for her many fine books. We read her Red Clover book Honeybee: The Busy Life of Apis Mellifera the week before the author visit, so children had the unique opportunity to learn from and interact with one of this year's Red Clover Book authors! What a treat. Thank you, PIE, for funding this exceptional experience!
