PBIS Behavior Expectations
Highlights from Last Week's Faculty PLC on Restorative Discipline
•Students need to develop strong trusting relationships with teachers and peers.
•Without a strong, stable, continuously reinforced sense of self-efficacy, students will always have difficulty succeeding (Albert Bandura).
•3 Guiding Principles:
- Create a positive climate for the entire school and focus on prevention;
- Develop clear, appropriate and consistent expectations and consequences to address disruptive behaviors; and
- Ensure fairness, equity and continuous improvement.
•Restorative Discipline involves the offender, the victim, and school personnel in the justice process; offenders are held responsible for their behavior, offenders must repair any harm they caused, and offenders must work to bring about a positive outcome.
•People physically fight because they lack the language and ability to talk about the problem and their anger. We must teach them how to communicate and to listen.
See the article in the link below for additional information on Restorative Discipline
Don't forget your Homework!
Dr. Holmgreen has a camera that can be shared. Before taking photos of your students, please write your name on a sheet of paper and take a photo of it. This will enable us to keep the photos together with the correct teacher.

Athletic Events - Show your Support
It's also great fun to sit together in the stands and cheer them on to victory!
Coaches, please be sure to give Dr. Holmgreen your schedule of events so we can publicize them.
Meet the Teachers
Please have at least a one page handout for them which introduces you and outlines your goals for the class and your expectations for students. Be sure to include your conference period (and the time), the school phone number (660-2055), and your email address.
