This is there location.there name is in green.they had to walk one mile to lake poygan. They canoe in the poynog river for fun in summer.also for transportations goods.

The fox tribe normally called themselves the Measquak meaning red earth people.they mainly lived in Michigan or Wisconsin, but a lot of them lived in Iowa, Kansas and even Oklahoma.the French explorers referred to them as renard meaning fox. The Fox tribe is now with the Sauk tribe.

The fox ate buffalo for dinner mostly every night.men hunted women cooked.they hunted most in the winter.it was cold but they had buffalo skin coats.they wore fur but not that thick in the summer.they also ate dog meat,berries,plums,honey.the children picked edible plants and nuts,and berries.

MhThis is a buffalo hunters bow.it is hand carved and the string is vine.they made a case for it made of deer.they teach boys to hunt at age 7.they love to teach then they hunt at age 9.

Most of the Fox tribe did not have much clothing. The rich had the most of clothing, gold, and silver. People use buck skin for dresses and mocasins. Hide and fur was added for extra warmth.

This is the symbol meaning peace. There are many different symbols one means we surrender to our enemies. The flag they have up is usually the peace flag. They have only been in two wars.
