Earthquake PBL
The earthquake PBL was to try an make a house (for Tony Stark) that would survive an earthquake. The driving question was "How can we as structural engineers, construct a two story house in California for Tony Stark that will withstand seismic activity." My group made a house made of straws, clay, popsicle sticks, and toothpicks. The houses corneres were on the corners to hold it up with am x on the sides to support. Then straws leaned to make a triangle roof, and to hold the top togther there was toothpicks, and clay.
30 Hands Project
I learned much from the thirty hands project during my reaserch. I learned about the many different causes for climate change and how it effects certian animals. I enjoyed the project because it made me more aware of the affects climate change has to the earth.
Invention Convention
We made an inovation. The enviormental problem is the gasses that cars let out. We took the idea of the solar powered car and made it better. By adding an extra solar pannel and a wind turbine it inproves the lasting. One pannel uses power and the other stores it. Then while driving the wind blows which turns the turbine.
