Maplewood Township, South Orange Village, SOMA Cross Cultural Works and the AAPI Community unite to recognize and celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month ’21. As we stand in solidarity, the focus is on education, healing and creating joy as we honor the richness and diversity of Asian and Pacific Islander cultures with an exciting lineup of family oriented activities and projects May 1 – 31, 2021.
NOTES FROM THE PTA
The professional photographer will social distance from all students, wear a mask at all times and sanitize the picture area as needed.
Please pre-order your picture package before picture day. Ordering is all online and contactless. You must place your order online by May 5th using the link below. If you have questions or concerns about placing your order online please give the photographers a call, they are happy to help 908-228-5674. Our picture days are set for Monday May 3rd and Wednesday May 5th

Once there, the password for our school is: Montrose21
Next, you will need to input your student's name. Please enter the name exactly how the student is registered with the school. For example, if Jimmie Smith is actually James Smith, you need to enter James :)
Once you choose your picture package, check out and that's it! Your order will be saved on their end and you will receive a confirmation email.

I hope this message finds you in good health! This a friendly reminder to please continue to monitor your child’s health daily in accordance with the Covid Compliance Form you signed before being assigned to an in-person cohort. Daily compliance means you are checking for any of these Signs and Symptoms of Covid-19 based on CDC Guidance prior to bringing or sending your child to school:
Fever (100 degrees F or higher)
Chills
Cough
Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
Fatigue
Muscle or body aches
Headache
New loss of taste or smell
Sore throat
Congestion or runny nose
Nausea or vomiting
Headache

Rising Kindergarten students - important information
Please note that we do not have information regarding where students will be placed for kindergarten. That information will come directly from the District Office later in the school year.
As guidance is provided by Governor Murphy, the NJDOE and Superintendent Taylor's office, information regarding end of year rising K celebration will be forthcoming.
