District Vision

We provide exceptional educational experiences that inspire, challenge and prepare each student to achieve personal and academic success.

District is Conducting an Improvement Plan Survey

We are currently surveying student, parents, staff and community members to provide feedback on 5 areas for school improvement priorities. These priorities come from the work being done to develop the District Consolidated Improvement Plan (CIP) and the 3-Year Student Success Act (SSA) Plan. Both plans are part of the requirements attached to HB 3427 passed by the Oregon Legislature in July. Please take 5 minutes to take the survey at the link below. Your feedback is a critical part of the planning process. There will be additional opportunities for feedback as the planning process progresses. The plan is due March 15, 2020. The survey is available in English and spanish. English: Spanish: The survey will be open until December 1st. We will be providing opportunities to complete the survey during parent teacher conferences November 18-19. If you need further assistance with access to technology to complete the survey please contact Eva Briseno at, or at 503-845-2345.

Are you aware of District Emergency Notification Systems?

When inclement weather impacts schools or there is an emergency message that needs to be communicated to parents, Mt. Angel SD utilizes three sources of communication. Blackboard is the system we use for sending messages to parents by email, text and phone messages. Blackboard is used for sending emergency and non-emergency communications. We are able to send out 900 messages in 45 seconds. Our new websites allow us to post emergency messages that will pop up when you open the homepage. The third source of communication is the Flash Alert Messenger. This system instantly posts messages to all major Television and Radio stations in the Portland/Salem areas. There is also a free app called, "FlashAlertMessenger" that can be downloaded to provide instant notifications. You can subscribe to only receive notifications from Mt. Angel SD messages. Links to this site are located on our websites. Keep you contact information current with your school(s) to make sure you get these messages.

District Strategic Plan Indicator #8

Indicator 8 of the District Strategic Plan focuses on getting all Mt. Angel School District students involved in some type of activity. Educational research shows that if students are involved in one or more sports, clubs, activities or other organized activities, they are more likely to graduate from high school. The chart below demonstrates that involvement varies from year-to-year. We will continue provide multiple opportunities for students, and encourage participation. Parents, if your child or children are not involved, please start the conversation at home and reach out to your school if you would like to know more about the opportunities available to all students.
