Summer reading ideas

There are some great education books that are getting a lot of attention right now. I have never been one to have a lot of time to sit and read, but I have decided I need to read more. Summer is the perfect time to dive into something new. I have just ordered a few of these books for myself and thought I would share some of them with you. Check out any of these and add them to your summer reading list.

Cyber Security

Each month I will share a short video that will help keep you up-to-date with cyber security issues. Please take a couple of minutes to watch the video below and stay informed.

Message from the Director

If you still need to earn comp time for November, please check out the events above. Also keep in mind that Region VII offers online courses that are FREE since we are members of the Digital Learning Coop. Subject areas range from GT training to Google everything and even information about the new Teacher Appraisal system, T-TESS. Click here to check out these valuable opportunities. Remember to get approval from your Principal before signing up and attending any training that would count for comp time.

The Technology Department has been working this summer to re-image every computer in the district to Windows 10. As you return to your classroom in August, you will find a checklist attached to your door with a list of completed jobs in your room. We hope this list will help to inform you of what was completed and when it was finished. If you still need summer jobs completed in the area of technology, please submit a technology ticket and we will get to you as soon as we can.

I hope you are enjoying your summer. We will see you soon.
