ABJ Scots Week at a Glance (SWAG)
May 2 -6, 2022
May is the liturgical month of the Blessed Virgin Mary. In the Easter season and during this month of May, we celebrate with Mary the resurrection of the Lord. Truly, Mary’s heart was filled with joy beyond all telling at the Resurrection of her Son. We share in her joy and we ask for her prayers, that we may obtain the joys of everlasting life.
Students and staff of ABJ will also have the opportunity to pray the rosary during booked times in our chapel as well as on Friday mornings during the month of May.

Mr. Gabinet's TV Debut!
Watch our very own Mr. Gabinet show off his baking skills and techniques on Canada's Food Network ultimate baking competition series Wall of Bakers. Also read the article in the Sherwood Park news featuring Mr. Gabinet this past weekend.
It was such an amazing experience for Mr. Gabinet to be a part of this show and do what he loves to do… bake! Food has always meant connection and love. As one of Mr. Gabinet's favourite food personalities says, “You can go through life not knowing how to roast a chicken (or in this case bake a cake) but the real question is, why would you want to?”
See the description of the episode below and support Mr. Gabinet by tuning into Canada's Food Network on May 2nd at 10:00 pm ET/PT.

Wellness Moment: 5 TIPS TO HELP TEENS COPE WITH STRESS
More than nine in 10 Generation Z adults (ages 15-21) express that they have experienced at least one physical or emotional symptom because of stress, such as feeling depressed or sad or lacking interest, motivation or energy,” according to research published by the Canadian Psychological Association.
High school teens spend most of their time attending classes, participating in extracurricular activities and doing homework. There is constant pressure to do everything and do it well to prepare for a successful career or higher education after high school. This can cause a lot of stress.
When they do have time, teens most often turn to media and communications activities, including watching TV, using social media and the internet and calling or texting friends. Although these can be helpful ways to relieve stress, the excessive use of technology can lead to lack of human connection and feelings of loneliness.
Use these tips to take a break from the barrage of constant communication and manage your stress in a healthy way.
