Wet-Lather-Scrub-Rinse-Dry
It is that time of year when it seems everyone has a cold or stomach bug. People commonly catch colds when they rub their nose or their eyes after their hands have been contaminated with the cold virus. People can also spread the stomach bug by not washing their hands before eating and after using the restroom. Handwashing - the single best way to remove germs and avoid illness. The CDC refers to handwashing as a “do it yourself vaccine” in protection against disease.
Cell Phone Reminders
Cell phones are not permitted to be used or carried by students during instructional hours unless instructed to do so for classroom usage by a certified staff member. Consequences for violating this policy may include, but are not limited to:
1st Offense Warning issued to the student, phone returned to locker, parent notification.
2nd Offense Cell phone remains in office, student pick up at end of day, parent notification.
3rd Offense Parent/Guardian responsible for picking up the phone.
4th and Subsequent Repeated violations are considered insubordination and will result in further consequences. Parent/Guardian responsible for picking up the phone.
