Teacher & Principal Performance Evaluator Training
North Cook ISC offers a two-day Administrator Academy (AA 2001) that replaces the Growth Through Learning online training modules. This two-day Academy will be offered in June and July. JUST ADDED: August 8-9 and September 7 & 21 (two Saturdays).
Until the State develops a new Administrator Academy for Principal Evaluator Training, individuals who will be required to evaluate principals next year should take two Administrator Academies (AA 1865) offered on September 19 and also (AA 3001/3002) scheduled for June 13, both at North Cook ISC.

New President of IARSS
Dr. Mark Klaisner, Executive Director of West40 ISC, has accepted the role of Executive Board President of IARSS, the Illinois Association of Regional Superintendents of Schools.
Maine West HS's Westerner received two awards from the national Quill & Scroll Honor Society, while Maine South's Southwords earned a gold medal certificate from the Columbia Scholastic Press Association. Read more: https://bit.ly/2JJE1vB
U.S. Presidential Scholars Named
Congratulations to Megan Jong, William Fremd HS and Asher Noel, New Trier HS, who were selected as 2019 U.S. Presidential Scholars, which recognizes and honors some of our nation's most distinguished graduating high school seniors. Well done!

Spelling Bee Finals in Washington D.C.
There are 565 finalists competing at the nationally televised competition (ESPN2) on Thursday, May 30. The Spelling Bee Champion will receive cash prizes, an engraved trophy, and trips to New York and Los Angeles for TV appearances, among others.
