Welcome to the 2019-20 School Year!

Hello, parents--the start of the new school year is just around the corner--classes begin Monday, August 26th! Our staff has been busy preparing for the return of our students by attending trainings, planning instruction, and setting up classrooms for a successful year. In fact, PHS staff members attended 900+ hours of training over the summer! We know that many students and parents are also preparing for the new school year by completing required online paperwork and shopping for supplies and new school clothes. We've included many important links and pieces of information to help you and your student transition to the 2019-20 school year.

Also, we would love to see you and your student on Thursday, August 22nd, 5:30-7:00 p.m. for Meet the PHS Staff. Students who have submitted their proof of residency and completed online paperwork can pick up their class schedules in the cafeteria. Any parent/student that has not submitted the proof of residency and/or completed the on line paperwork can bring their paperwork this evening to complete the required items before getting their student's schedule in the counseling office.

Please feel free to contact me directly at my email link below if you have any questions, suggestions or words of praise for our staff members!

2019-2020 Bell Schedule

Our bell schedule will remain the same as last school year. Please remember: 1.) breakfast will be served in the cafeteria each morning before school beginning at 7:20 a.m. and 2.) we will have a built in intervention/enrichment time twice a week on Tuesday and Thursday to support student learning during the school day. Also, we will run the Tuesday/Thursday (Class Assembly) Schedule the first 4 days of school so that we can have class meetings with each grade level. All seniors will need to attend their Class of 2020 meeting on Thursday, August 29th 1:35-2:10 p.m.

New Campus-wide Cell Phone Policy

Last school year, a committee of teachers met to discuss and address an on-going classroom concern experienced by nearly every high school teacher in America: CELL PHONES. The teacher committee collectively researched facts related to cell phones in public school classrooms and focused their work on finding a way to minimize the constant distraction cell phones create while students are learning. Please review the campus-wide cell phone policy and contact us at 569-1250 or by email with any questions, concerns or suggestions you have.
