From the Principal

Ranger Patrons,

The Raymond Park Staff is excited to welcome back our Ranger students this week! School begins on Thursday of this week for both face-to-face and virtual students. Teachers will be making telephone calls to families during the early part of the week to verify the start date for alternating black schedule and gold schedule students, and instruct students where to report when they arrive on campus.

For those using the district's bus service, your student's bus driver will be reaching out early this week to confirm pick-up time and location. For those wishing to transport their student privately, procedures and maps are provided later in this newsletter to help the transportation process flow smoothly. Be mindful that visitor access to RP will be restricted due to pandemic safeguards, and parents should not enter school with their student on the opening days of school unless specific business exists with the main office.

MSD of Warren Township's S.A.F.E. Reopening Plan has been approved by the school board and is linked for your review. School staff will focus on teaching students expectations of maintaining a safe and orderly learning environment in school that emphasizes the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including face coverings that are required by all students while in school, social distancing in school environments, and frequent hand washing and sanitizing.

Orientation opportunities for middle level students are as follows:

- Virtual students may pick-up learning materials including a Chromebook if needed on Tuesday, August 4th, at Raymond Park Door 2, 5:30-7:00pm.

- Back-to-School Night for 5th grade face-to-face students is scheduled to occur this Wednesday, August 5th, 6:00-6:30pm for last names A-K, and 7:00-7:30pm for last names L-Z. 5th grade students are welcome to attend in person as well as 1 adult per family.

- Back-to-School Night for 6th grade students is scheduled to occur this Wednesday, August 5th, 6:00-7:00pm. This will be a virtual opportunity for all face-to-face 6th grade students to meet their CORE Connect teacher on a Zoom conference. Please be on time to this virtual conference as 6:00-6:15 will be focused on teacher information. Then 6:15-7:00pm will be an opportunity for students and caretakers to ask questions. Be on the lookout for virtual meeting links Tuesday evening for Wednesday conferences.

- Back-to-School Night for 7th and 8th grade students is scheduled to occur Wednesday, August 19th, 6:00-6:45pm for face-to-face learners, and 7:00-7:45pm for virtual learners. Both meetings will be conducted virtually, and meeting links will be shared as BTSN nears.
