Help Noks go through College

This Christmas...

Ebenezer: 'Thus far the Lord hath helped us."

When I look back in my life, all the struggles I have been through, all that I have selflessly given for the benefit of others all that I have lost, opportunities that I missed because of my family financial responsibilities; God had never left me. Here I am in my middle 20's furthering my BA Degree at last and celebrating my first full year completed and having been able to send money to my family every money. God's timing is ever perfect.

Concordia University Irvine 2013

Last year in June I met a Communication's Professor from my current university who after getting to know me, was determined to help me get a scholarship at Concordia. When God made it possible I was only able to get a tuition scholarship. Themba Trust agreed to Sponsor my air-ticket and a little amount to help pay for my housing and meals. I had no idea where the other money was going to come from. I applied for my visa, packed my bags, got on the plane flew to Southern California completely out of faith. I knew I didn't have the means but NOTHING was impossible with my God.

Arriving at Concordia was a blessing. in my 2nd semester of arrival I became involved in Student Leadership. I was made the President of the International Students. I was hired by campus ministry; Abbeywest as a Residential Care Minister ( taking care of students, loving them, granting them support and comfort in times of need. Giving them love that would draw them closer to Christ and make sure they are spiritually catered for), I am also a Beloved Bible Study Leader; shepherding 9 girls. I am also a Student Assistant for the Academic Intensive English Program and in the beginning of next Semester, I have been offered a role as an RA (Resident Assistant) at the Global Village, this is a Living and Learning Community for locals and international students going to Concordia.

I have been so blessed to have all these leadership qualities and to have God use my gifts for the benefit of His Kingdom. I am thankful to be going through a university that is able to give me the opportunity to use these gifts for the benefit of the students. It's is a great practice for me as a Communication's major student who minors in Missiology (study of mission work) and Pre-Deaconess Program.

I have now been at Concordia for a year and God has been faithfully providing for my needs and that of my family back home through me, as they a now fully dependent on me after the loss of my older brother this April 2013.
