Blaze Bulletin
Edition 18 - Week of January 18th
We will miss you Michael Martin...
Dear teachers & staff:
We will miss Officer Martin at BHS. He is a great officer, but more than that, he is a great mentor, educator, and friend. Sometimes we are called places for reasons that are not clear at the time. We have to believe that he has been called from us for a reason that will help others. Our loss is definitely Smyrna West's gain. See you later, Michael.

Teacher Spotlight....Renee Delbridge
Renee’ Delbridge – Happily married to Tom Delbridge for over 20 years. He is my best friend! We love to spend time on our boat in the summer and we love Mexico. We started traveling about 8 years ago and really enjoy the all-inclusive resorts.
We have three beautiful daughters between us:
Ashley Morgan Delbridge (age 34) is a Nurse Anesthetist and she currently lives in Boston MA.
Courtney Ellen Clardy (age 27) is a Family Nurse Practitioner and Ashley Renee Rowland (age 25) is an H R Supervisor for Calsonic. Both of them live in Shelbyville (Flat Creek) with their families.
We have two adorable grandsons:
Nolan just turned 3 and Hunter will be 2 in June. Their mom, Courtney, is also expecting identical twins in June of this year! Four children under the age of 4! AND my Ashley is expecting her first baby boy in May! I’m going to have a wonderful, exciting and busy summer.
This is my 26th year of teaching Marketing and being a DECA Advisor. My most recent hobby is knitting. And I’ve always loved to sing and dance.
Teacher Spotlight....Diane Brewer
Diane Brewer, I married my high school sweetheart! We have been married for thirty-two years. We have three wonderful sons. We live on a farm with around seventy cows and calves. We care for our cows by giving them their shots. I have experienced helping two cows give birth to their calves. Our dog is a black lab. His name is buddy. I have lived in Rutherford county all of my life. I am a graduate of Smyrna High School where I was a cheerleader. I had my children then went to college, and graduated from Cumberland University in 2014. This is my second year at BHS, and love it! I love coaching the dance team. In my spare time, I like to work in my yard, and do a little gardening.
I will send you a picture tomorrow if that is okay.
Teacher Spotlight...Gayle Dawson
The reason I say what little free time is I also teach night classes at Motlow State Community College and oversee the ACT for national test dates.
