A note from Heidi
Curricular Conversations on Wednesday, November 18.
I am anxious to work with you again. I had a magnificent day capturing the brilliance of teaching and learning at Dutch Fork in October. Over the next few months, I will use photos, artifacts and videos from your colleagues to inspire conversations around topics such as content literacy, close reading of nonfiction texts, testing as a genre study, teaching students how to use literacy and mathematics as tools for learning as well as constructing and implementing integrated units of study.
K-1 Teachers: On November 18 we will continue our inquiry into developing units of study. Please bring stories, promising strategies and student artifacts from your past or current unit of study to our conversation.
2-5 Teachers: On November 18 we will investigate strategies for teaching testing as a genre. Please come poised to share strategies or burning questions you have about embedding testing as a genre work into the fabric of your curriculum across the year.
In anticipation… Heidi
