Marysville Message
Friday 5/28/2021
Dear Marysville Families,
One other important schedule change for next week is for middle school students.
Because there is no school on Monday for Memorial Day, the Monday School Schedule will move to Wednesday June 2nd.
- So Monday Middle School in person students come to school Wednesday afternoon instead.
- It is a regular Wednesday schedule for the K - 5 students, no change for them..
Please check with your teacher if you have any questions.
Thanks again to 8th grade photographer, Rosa Guerra for the newsletter background photo.
Opportunities from our Marysville Social Worker
1. I received this info from the Ready, Set, Go Program Coordinator and thought of passing it along (Attached flyer below with contact info)
"This wonderful early childhood program for babies 0-3 years old called Early, Ready! Set! Go! In our program, parents and caregivers have the opportunity to develop, promote, and strengthen their baby's socioemotional development through creative and informative interactions. This is not a summer program; it follows the regular school year calendar; however, we do have activities during the summer and continue to offer our clients services. We meet via Zoom on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 10 am to 10:30 am, and there is constant support throughout the week for families who need assistance. The families do not have to be low-income because this program serves all children no matter their economic situation. However, we would like to reach underserved populations who do not have access to private preschool and/or daycare. Our regular schedule will run until the end of June, and we will continue to have summer activities in July. Then we go on break for August, and we will start again in September. The program is bilingual in English and Spanish. I hope this helps clarify more details about the program."
2. Summer activities for youth:

Digital Tools/Digital Toolkit Summer Access
Students will have access to most PPS Digital Toolkit applications during the summer. Students who enroll in summer school may notice changes in some applications once summer school begins. Most PPS Digital Toolkit applications will remain active until the end of July. Applications may be temporarily unavailable at the beginning of August as PPS shifts to the 2021-2022 school year. PPS will be moving from Clever to using My.PPS (my.pps.net) as a district-wide portal. Students using QR Clever badges to log in to Chromebooks will no longer be able to use their Clever badge once the change to My.PPS is complete. Students will need their PPS username and password to log in to their chromebooks until they are issued a new Quickcard (QR code) at the start of school.
Please contact your teacher if you need your student's username and password.
Please note that during the summer months, teachers are not active inside the digital tools and applications. Parents should be aware of what students are doing online. Parents may find the Securly application and digital and civic literacy resources helpful.
