Principal's Message
Greetings from the Principal's Office
This has been a very eventful week at JGKA! Our students and staff have enjoyed many fun end-of-the year events.
Tuesday, officers from the Department of Natural Resources spoke to our students about water safety. Students learned the importance of staying away from water, and the importance of having their parents watch them at all times.
Our students also took field trips to see their schools for next year. Our kids met their new Principals, toured the buildings, and saw 1st grade classrooms. Our students were very excited!
Friday morning, our students and staff shared a story and created a beautiful piece of art. Students heard a story about being brave and leaving your mark on the world. Then, students and staff each left "their mark" on a canvas. We will proudly display our art as a reminder of the first year of the Jeremiah Gray Kindergarten Academy. This class and staff are going down in HISTORY!
We ended our week with field day. Students had a blast participating in races, relays, and other fun outdoor events. We want to say a HUGE THANK YOU to our PE teacher, Mr. Schott for organizing such a fun event for our kids.
Next week we will have our Awards Day programs. We will have a special program for our Little Giants on May 22nd and 23rd (See below for your child's date). Each child will be recognized for their hard work, and will take part in a special Bridging Ceremony. You won't want to miss it!
Love,
Mrs. Hansell
