Worthingway Middle School Updates
12/11/2020
Dear Families,
Construction continues at Worthingway with an increased amount of activity with students out of the building. The next major step will be the demolition of what is currently the front of our building from the office to approximately our current science classrooms. I thought it would be fun to get a time capsule to place in the frame of a wall in our new construction area before the drywall is completed.
The capsule is not large, but I am open to suggestions. The capsule could easily hold smaller items, such as my two children's cell phones, which I would consider putting in. If there are small items you would like to donate that represent Worthingway Middle School, Worthington or this time in our history, please drop them at the office and we will see what we can do. Of course, a mask was the first item to go in!
Thank you and have a great weekend!
School Pictures
School pictures have arrived to the building. We plan to distribute pictures to the students as soon as they are back in the building. If you would like your child's pictures before then, please stop by the Worthingway office M-F 8:00-4:00pm. We will be here until December 18.
If you did not have a chance to order school pictures and you would like to, there is information in your child's envelope on how to order them.
We are planning re-takes for 1/13 and 1/15.
Please call the office if you have any questions, 614-450-4300.

District News - Construction Update
The Worthington School District middle school construction projects are continuing on schedule. When we are able to return to hybrid learning this school year, the plan calls for students and staff at Phoenix/Perry and Worthingway to be in classrooms in the new additions while renovations continue in older parts of each building. We look forward to having all of our middle school students (including sixth graders) start the 2021-2022 school year in the new buildings.
The architects recently shared some photos of the work that has been completed. Take a look at where things stand! Get more information and photos at this webpage.
