Also, this is a reminder that all school library books are due on Friday, May 26th. After that date, all library books will be overdue. Please have your student return any library books to the school as soon as possible. If you need more information, please reach out to your librarian, Mrs. Hoskey, at curry.hoskey@pgcps.org. Thank you for returning your library books!
OWL stem summer camp
PGCC has been awarded a DoD STEM DSEC HBCU/MI Pathways grant. The intent of this grant is to support students, so they can eventually enter the DoD Workforce in STEM Careers. They are working jointly with Bowie State University (BSU) on this endeavor.
This summer they are offering four (4) 1-week STEM camps on the PGCC campus for middle school students. The camps are free to participants, with lunch and snacks provided. Attached is an informational flyer about the camp.
Special Education Summer Tennis Program
This summer, JTCC is running a new FREE summer tennis program for students ages 5-16 who identify as having a cognitive disability.
What: Free summer tennis classes with JTCC staff professionals. Games and activities specifically tailored to help students with cognitive disabilities learn and enjoy the sport of tennis.
Where: JTCC, 5200 Campus Drive, College Park MD 20740
When: Saturdays, June 17th – August 19th 10am-11am
Who: Students ages 5-16 who identify as having a cognitive disability or are enrolled in their school’s special education program

summers at seton
This summer, Elizabeth Seton High School is hosting over ten enrichment/sports camps starting June 12th through the end of July. Their goal for Summers at Seton is to assist students in identifying and cultivating their interests, enhance their athletic ability, improve their interpersonal skills, elevate their independence and self-expression, and learn to lead and serve others in a diverse and safe space.
While their main audience is all girls, they do offer three coed camps: Band Camp, DC Horns, and Cheer. More information is on the flyer below.
