- Rosa Parks was involved in a bus boycott when she got told to stand in order for a white person to be able to sit. the other person she was sitting next to moved, but she scooted over. So, when there wasn't any more seats for white people, the bus driver came back and moved the sign that says, "colored" on it behind Rosa. She refused to move. So, she is standing up for what she believes in and that's why Rosa Parks is considered a hero.
