As you may have heard, there have been some safety alert messages going out to neighboring schools for a variety of reasons over the past few days.

In light of the recent school violence in Michigan, this is understandably concerning. However, please know that our school is operating as normal and that all students and staff are safe.

If there is ever a situation based on rumor or actual activity at our school, we will notify you immediately via Remind* and email. (*If you have provided your mobile phone number in our student information system you will receive Remind notifications like text messages unless you have downloaded the Remind app, in which case you will receive a push notification through the app.) Those messages will also always be posted to the Safety Alerts page of the District website and to our school’s homepage, for your reference. For larger or more time-sensitive incidents, we may add an automated phone call to the notifications.

We have a lot of upcoming events in the CCC for our seniors. This is a very busy time for seniors, as all college applications, financial aid applications, and most scholarship applications are open. December is a great time to take care of those tasks and lean in to winter break to finish up any applications.

Below is a list of events happening in the CCC during the day as well as a few evening events for students AND guardians. We want to invite you to our winter FAFSA/ORSAA evening presentation and completion workshop and our HSD Scholarship Info night. If your student is planning to pursue a college-degree they will need to complete either the FAFSA or the ORSAA. They will need YOUR help to submit this application. Please see the flyer below for details. We hope to see you there!
