News From Marion Jordan Elementary
Information from Mrs. Grosch
I hope you are enjoying the remaining days of summer vacation. We are only a few days away from the start of another great year of teaching and learning at Marion Jordan School! The first day of school is Wednesday, August 19th. All students will be learning remotely from August 19th - September 4th. Hearing that all of us will begin remotely is not what any of us had hoped for, however, we all recognize the importance of following guidelines and recommendations to support a healthy environment for all.
On Friday, August 14th, you'll be able to view your child's classroom teacher through Infinite Campus if you've created a portal and completed the re-registration process. There will NOT be a paper summer mailing this year.
Our annual Meet the Teacher event will be held virtually this year. You will receive an email from your child's classroom teacher the afternoon of Monday, August 17th with a special welcome message.
Parent Orientation Night is scheduled for the evening of Wednesday, August 26th. Please hold this date for a virtual presentation from your child's teacher. Detailed information, along with a schedule, will be shared prior to the event.
We continue to find ourselves navigating through a start to the school year that is not traditional, comfortable, or easy. Know that whether we are together in person or just in spirit, The MJ Staff and I are committed to assisting and supporting you every step of the way. We are looking forward to getting the 2020-21 school year underway for both our virtual and in-person learners.
