Principal's News
During our January Morning Meetings, we have been talking a lot about being a "Purple Person". This idea is based on the book The World Needs More Purple People by Kristen Bell and Benjamin Hart. Being a "Purple Person" is pretty easy. Here are the steps you can take to be a "Purple Person":
1. Ask questions - We learn more about the world around us and can learn something about other people too.
2. Laugh a lot - It helps us remember the things we share and we forget what we thought made us different.
3. Use Your Voice - It helps you share your ideas and opinions. Sometimes your friends have a hard time using their voice, so we should help them find it. And - we also shouldn't just use our voice, but listen to other voices too.
4. Work Hard - It helps us get things done! And when we work together we change something that needs changing.
5. Just Be You - Because you're the only YOU you've got!
On Friday (2/2/24), we invite your child to BE A PURPLE PERSON! Wear purple to school and show how PURPLE you can be!

Winter Wellness Tips:
As the winter season brings colder temperatures, it's crucial to prioritize your well-being. Here are some tips to stay healthy during the winter:
Dress warmly in layers
Stay hydrated
Practice good hand hygiene
Get plenty of rest
It’s essential to be proactive in preventing the spread of colds and the flu. Encourage your child to wash their hands regularly, cover their mouth and nose when sneezing or coughing, and remind them of the importance of using tissues.
If you have any concerns about your child's health, or illnesses that may occur during the school year, please notify the school nurse at 781-319-3985.
If your child had any of the following symptoms today, please keep them home
Fever over 100 degrees (must be fever free for 24 hours without the use of tylenol or motrin to return to school)
Vomiting and/or diarrhea (if your child has had any vomiting or diarrhea within the past 24 hours, they should not return to school)
Diagnosis of communicable disease such as strep throat or conjunctivitis (if diagnosed with a communicable disease and prescribed antibiotics, your child must not return to school until they have been on antibiotics for at least 24 hours
Remember, a healthy child is a happy and successful learner.
