WINS FOR THE WEEK!
- Our TOTY Final Four nominees: Meagan Ally, Jacob Bennett, Sarah Erickson, and Onika St. James, are truly representative of the outstanding teaching staff here at Five Forks. Congratulations on making it to the final four! You are all awesome!
- Our first school-wide PLC was a success! Teachers and staff members had a great time getting in "The Last Word" when it came to our roles as educators.
- 90 Minute PLC's to work on LSPI and RBES goals was extremely helpful and teachers used their time to tackle the right work and get it done!
- The 6th Grade Dance was a BIG HIT! Our students had a wonderful time, and the presence of our Five Forks Fathers, PTSA members, parent volunteers, and staff members made it the BEST! What's the word, 7th grade?
- Our Magazine Fundraiser is now over. We'll tally the results and share with you soon.
- It's Labor Day weekend! Enjoy the three-day weekend, and be sure to get some REST and Relaxation...and spend time with Family and Friends!

GOOGLE APPS FOR EDUCATION
Why Use Google Apps for Education (GAFE)?
TECH TIPS
This app lets you create seating charts with desks on a grid, record and export attendance, choose random students for class participation, make student notes, and store student photos all in one place. Move students around by dragging and dropping students. Generate a PDF version of your seating charts (with photos) as a backup or to give to substitute teachers. Take role easily by tapping on absent, tardy, or excused students.. Load student photos to help you quickly learn student names. Make notes about each student. Export student records to e-mail. Create a custom desk layout by starting with a grid pattern that you choose, then hide selected desks. Go paperless!
** Mrs. Erickson, Mr. Duncan, and Ms. Massey are all using this APP! **
