-Mt. Everest is a long and also can be a painful journey if research is not done
-The base camp is 17,700 feet in the air
-You eat buffalo meat and once it begins to rot you wait a few weeks for the smell to go away and then it can be eaten as “beef jerky”
-The Mt. Everest process can be very scary and then again the best experience of ones life
-Ice frequently falls from thousands of feet above and kill climbers which is a big hazard and has killed several mountaineers over the years
-ice fall area is from 18,000ft - 20,000 ft
-You have to very careful. A whole mound of snow could just collapse on you so look before you step no matter how tired you are

-There are 3 camps throughout the mountain
-Camp 4 is within the death zone which is 26,000 feet up the mountain. It sits on a plateau resembling a moonscape
-On the way to the summit we leave at 11pm because there is a lesser chance of snow collapsing with the sun already set
-On the way to the summit it may be very icy and slippery i which the ice ax comes in hand most of the time
