Happy March! This month we are celebrating all things March! From clovers, the color green, rainbows, leprechauns, and pots of gold, we're having a blast. Teddy and friends are learning new skills, reviewing old, practicing listening skills, and talking about the letter "L" as we discuss listening, leprechauns, and being lucky throughout stretches, circuit time, game time, during activities, and especially during story time with Teddy.

A Message From Ms. Hannah:

My name is Hannah and I am from Irmo, SC. I graduated from Winthrop University with a B.A. in Dance Performance and a minor in Technical Theatre Studies. My passion has always been teaching and working with children of all ages. In August 2015, I began teaching dance at a local studio and have since fallen in love with being in a classroom or studio even more. I am so excited to join the Team TUMBLEBUS, as I will have more opportunities to get to express my love for fitness and movement all across the region! As a teaching artist, my focus is not solely on choreography and the creation of my own work, but spreading the fundamental concepts of movement and dance to children at a young age. I enjoy doing this by promoting a healthy lifestyle and instilling confidence and development skills through instruction! I am so excited to see what my dance and fitness background can bring to the TUMBLEBUS Experience.

We Heard You!

Since TUMBLEBUS South Charlotte has been on the road, we often hear "What about the Big Kids?" and "What about Adults?" Well worry no more! Beyond FIT has been designed to provide onsite fitness experiences for kids and adults BEYOND the bus! Why? Because humans past 7 years old are just too tall for the bus of course! But NEVER is anyone to tall to learn and be fit! Besides you can't have healthy kids without healthy families right?

Beyond Fit is a:

Mobile Fitness studio committed to providing the best on-site fitness experiences throughout Charlotte and surrounding! We'll provide classes such as Zumba, Yoga, Boot Camps, Circuits, and more, alongside workshops that teach the importance of healthy bodies, minds, and spirits. Activities will be onsite at your desired locations including schools, churches, organization venues, camps, jobs, ect. Not only do we promote fitness, we'll continue promoting movement, music, and literacy BEYOND the BUS!

We Come to You and we are excited about expanding our programming options for older kids and families too.

Teddy Tip of the Month for Parents: Promoting Independence

Teddy Shares: How to Consistently Promoting Independence

Don't redo what they've done.

If your child attempts any task and its remotely close and safe, do not redo what they've done. For example, if your child makes his/her bed, resist the urge to smooth the blankets or straighten the toys in the toy bin. If he/she dresses herself in stripes and polka dots or a police uniform, compliment his/her "eclectic" style. Unless absolutely necessary, don't fix what your child accomplishes, says Kathy Buss, director of the Weekday Nursery School, in Morrisville, Pennsylvania. Your child will notice and it may discourage him or her from trying that task and other tasks independently again. The goal is independence so don't "baby" your child. As much as you want them to "stay young" allow them to grow into more independence. Remember, no matter how independent they are, they will always be your baby, and no one can take that away.
