A Message From The Principal
Greetings,
We are still missing all of you and wish we were able to be physically with you in our building. Thank you for all your hard work and flexibility as we navigate this new way of school together. Please listen to a few updates and announcements.
A reminder that teachers in all grade levels are available Monday thru Friday from 9-4. If you have questions regarding Learn at Home or eLearning, please contact your child's teacher or use the hotline number 317-608-0545 or email MSDWarrenELearning@warren.k12.in.us. Please note that teachers are not obligated to respond to emails after 4pm. Any emails sent after 4pm will be answered at the teacher's convenience on the following school day.
If you are having trouble finding emails from teachers, type the teachers name in the search box and it will bring up all emails from that teacher. If you are still struggling to keep up with emails please make contact with your advisory or homeroom teachers for assistance in getting organized. Also, please take advantage of teacher office hours and class times.
If you are having any device issues help is available at the high school Monday-Friday from 11-1 at door 70 at the high school.
Summer school Information: Summer School will be offered virtually this year for free for all students. Students should have received a email from their advisory teacher or homeroom teacher sharing the link needed to register. If a student had previously enrolled in summer school and paid the fee that money will be refunded. Students are limited to two classes and the registration is on first come first serve basis. Please make sure that students have accessed their emails and get registered immediately. I have provided the link for your convenience. https://sites.google.com/warren.k12.in.us/2020summerenrollment/home
A 2020 graduation planning committee met to discuss alternatives to celebrate and recognize the class of 2020. These plans will be shared with students and families on or before May 8th. Students it is essential that you are checking your email daily for updates and information from classroom teachers.
Senior should have received an email this week detailing cap and gown pick up. We have worked with Herff Jones to schedule a drive-thru cap and gown pick up on Tuesday, May 5th from 9 am until 3 pm in Lot 7, west of the football field. Seniors that have not ordered, will be able to pick up their cap and gown with their photo ID. In an effort to reduce the stress and strain on the class of 2020, the MSD of Warren Township has agreed to pay for all caps and gowns for graduating seniors. We are currently working in partnership with the Herff Jones corporate office to secure refunds for cap and gown orders already placed. The refund process may take quite some time, but I assure you we will secure and return the cap and gown purchase price.
Again, please make sure you are continuing to work on your school work and checking your email daily.

Counselor Corner -- Conversation With the Counselor
The FAFSA deadline has been extended!
How did your first week of e-learning go? As a school counselor who is used to seeing people face-to-face each day - it has definitely been an adjustment. I have enjoyed speaking with students and families on the phone. Seeing them in our Zoom meetings has been fun too! I miss our Renaissance students a lot!
As we all continue to adjust to this "new life" of self-distancing it is natural for everyone to be overwhelmed - kids and adults alike. Parents might feel the stress more than others as they try to continue working and homeschool their children. Take a look at this Sesame Street PSA for parents that will hopefully put a smile on your face.
For students and adults this 15 minute video gives great tips on managing stress and boredom. This school counselor from Illinois goes through several techniques and apps to help your mental health.
Please know you are not alone and we will get through this together. Please contact me if you need assistance with anything.
