Falcon Time Newsletter
Farmer Elementary PTO Newsletter December 2022
A message from your PTO
We would like to recognize Ms. Tammy Nelson for her 26.5 years of service to the students at Farmer Elementary. After 29.5 years of teaching, Ms. Nelson will be retiring in December. When asked what she will miss most about Farmer, she stated, "This question is easy! I will miss the kids so much. I will also miss my wonderful work family." When she retires, she plans to spend time with her family, especially her elderly mother. She is looking forward to less stress and some free time! Ms. Nelson said she has so many wonderful memories of Farmer. She attended Farmer as a child and then became a teacher here. She was able to bring her nieces, a nephew, and later, her son to work with her. Ms. Nelson has especially enjoyed teaching children of her former students. She noted, "I can honestly say that I have been blessed in so many ways by the Farmer community!!"
Ms. Nelson's warm smile and caring heart will be missed by all at Farmer. Don't worry though, Ms. Nelson says she wants to come back to Farmer and sub when needed next Fall. We want to wish Ms. Nelson the best in her retirement and we hope to see her around the Farmer campus as a sub in August. Thank you for your dedication to the Farmer students and community, Ms. Nelson!

At this time, they are still collecting shoeboxes for the local women's and children's shelter as well as $10.00 shipping costs for the shoeboxes. Please let Ms. Davis know if you are interested in helping either one of these causes before we leave for Christmas break. We have the best school and community ever!
