Monday 1/28/19: Winter Sports
Please be mindful of general safety and our procedures for drop off and dismissal each day.
- As a reminder, we ask that everyone park in a parking spot before allowing students in or out of the vehicle. For safety and flow of traffic, you are not allowed to stop in front of the door for any reason.
- If you need to speak with a teacher or another parent, please stand close to the building, ideally behind the fence. We have had several concerned drivers express frustration about people visiting in the middle of the parking lot, and children wandering around.
Thank you so much for your understanding.

What Better Way to Start Off the New Year Than With New Baby Photos?!
It is my honor and pleasure to share with you all photos and an update from Mrs Martin, our beloved 1st grade teacher.
The Martin family welcomed Mason Edward Martin into the world on December 12th at 8:13am. Everyone has settled into the new routine at home and Mason is a love! He is a good sleeper, but like most babies born to busy parents with older siblings, he insists on being held in order to fall asleep. hahaha
We would like to thank Mrs. Kuusela, who has stepped in as our sub for the last few weeks. Mr Mason came earlier than expected so Mrs Kuusela has been a wonderful help until a permanent substitute could take over.
We would like to extend a big welcome to Mrs Ingrid Kainen, who will be taking over as our long term substitute for the next two months. Mrs Kainen comes from Wellesley, MA but has family here in the area and she has graciously agreed to accept the position until Mrs Martin is able to resume teaching.
Thank you to both ladies for all of your help during this exciting transitional time here at the school.

The GBG will meet on Tuesday, January 15, 2019 to read and discuss Walter van Tilburg Clark’s thought-provoking short story The Portable Phonograph. The meeting will run from 7:00 - 8:30 PM. The reading is not difficult and will serve to help participants practice their reading skills and to ease into more challenging texts. Copies of Clark’s short masterpiece, The Portable Phonograph, are available online here: http://www.mscruz.yolasite.com/resources/The%20Portable%20Phonograph.pdf or hard copies are available - at no cost - at the back of the parish church or from the St. Michael School business office.
