Guess What???
Hancock is being renovated!!! We are so excited. This renovation is going to be a BIG one and last about 2 years. Our campus was built in 1973 and they are bringing us up to CFISD standards.
We wanted you to be aware as you will begin seeing a lot of construction equipment and “décor” around the campus. While it will be frustrating at times, it will be beautiful in the end. Our children deserve a beautiful campus and I can’t wait for them to have it. The first Phase started during Spring Break and the portables have been moved already. After school hours, please enjoy the playground, but remind your children to stay away from the construction crew and equipment in order to remain safe.
We will keep you in the loop of the next steps. Those of you that like to park in the lot in the mornings and walk your children to the front door, it may be a bit more difficult to find a spot. They are taking approximately 20 spots and the teachers will need to be able to park. Thank you for understanding.
Spring Activities for Your Family!
Here are some activities to do with your family this Spring.
Weekly Attendance
It is very important for your child to attend school each day. Studies show students who have good attendance are more likely to succeed in their academic career.
According to Great Schools.org, it is difficult for the teacher to build a student's skills if the student is frequently absent.
Here are the number of absences by grade level for the week of April 5th through April 9th.
Every Tuesday and Thursday
Transportation Changes
When you arrive you will need:
- A hard copy of your ID
- Over 18 years old
- Listed as an Emergency Contact
Tardies
Doors open at 7:40 and our day begins promptly at 8:00. Being on time is important to your child's learning!
