Classroom Strategies for Highly Capable Learners

Classroom teachers will learn strategies for differentiating instruction to meet the needs of Highly Capable learners in their classrooms. This training assures maximum participant engagement through hands on activities, group processing, and model video demonstrations.

Outcomes of Differentiated Instruction (DI) Training

  • Participants will identify specific strategies and approaches through the use of model videos and group work.

  • Participants will apply new learning in a case study approach to create learning plans for Highly Capable students.

  • Participants will create Tiered Questions and Tiered Activities for a classroom lesson.

  • Participants will develop appropriate performance expectations using NAGC and CCSS standards and other resources.
