It was a great week this week at Windsor! On Tuesday, we celebrated, 2/2/22 at 2:22 with a 2 minute dance party! Today we saw a lot of fun stuffed animals in celebration of raising over $7,000 for the Kids Heart Challenge. So amazing!!! February 28th is the last day to donate to the Kids Heart Challenge.

Illinois 5Essentials Survey | Now Open!
It’s that time of year again and we want your input! Please participate in the Illinois 5Essentials Parent Survey, as a part of the Illinois 5Essentials Survey administration. The survey responses will never be connected to the identity of you or your child as school reports will only present aggregated information of how parents responded as a whole.
In order for the survey report to be generated we need at least 20 percent of our parents to take the survey.

Drop and Go Reminders:
-Please do not block the intersection or the crosswalk of Miner and Windsor.
-Please do not get out of your car, your child needs to get out on their own.
-Please pull all of the way up to the car in front of you before stopping to let your child out, no matter what door they enter the school through.
-Please respect our crossing guard, she may stop traffic from entering Windsor Drive if the line is backed up to Miner.

Students in grades 3, 4, and 5 will be taking the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) in March. In addition to the IAR, fifth-grade students will take the Illinois Science Assessment (ISA). Please see the assessment schedule below.

- Arlington Heights Council (AHC) Pack the Piggies Contest: Looking for a place to put the spare change hanging around your house? No better place than the AHC Pack the Piggies Contest! Bring in your spare change and pack the Piggy Bank between March 14-17. Windsor’s goal is to collect $1,000. Proceeds will support the AHC Scholarships. Click here for more information on scholarships available to D25 elementary and high school students. Elementary school scholarship applications are due March 1, 2022.

Get Burbed Challenge
Mark your calendars for April 30, 2022 for the 10th ABC/25 Get Burbed Challenge! We are looking forward to having our district students, families and staff together again for our 5K and 1 Mile events! The ABC/25 Get Burbed Challenge is the only district wide event and raises money to provide grants to teachers and staff through the ABC/25 Foundation. Please follow ABC/25 Get Burbed Challenge on Facebook or Twitter for all race information or visit us at abcchallenge.org. We hope to see all our Windsor Wildcats there!
Notes from the front office...
If your child will be tardy please leave a message on the Absence Hotline and indicate if they will need lunch.
If your child needs to leave school early please let the classroom teacher and the office know ahead of time when possible. This will assure your child is ready to leave when needed and will let your child know if dismissal plans have changed.
Please note that students who choose to pack a meal from home are invited to take a bag with milk that will also contain a fruit, vegetable, and grain at no charge. If your child has food allergies or food intolerances, please work with them to identify what they can consume from this bag, should they decide to pick it up.
All of these bagged items will be wrapped. If a student chooses not to consume all items, those may be placed on a table in the eating area so as to not be wasted.
As a reminder, lunch is free this school year for all District 25 students.
