Pottery
The Athens would make pottery. They would use this pottery for almost everything. They would make clay pot used for cooking and bowls, jars used for storing things and drinking from, and vases for decoration. The Athens painted them with religious or mythological scenes.
Athena
Athena was the goddess of wisdom. a statue thirty-eight feet statue mad completely out of gold and ivory. It take a lot of work and time to build something that big completely out of gold and ivory.
Sculptures
sculptures wanted to sculpt objects that were graceful, strong, and perfectly formed. They tried to capture how beautiful the human body is in motion.
Classical Art
The value of order, balance, and proportion became the standers for classical art.
Parthenon
This building shows what classical art is. It ideals the life of balance and proportion in art. There was a brightly painted relief panel.
Modern Day
Over time art will get better in some way. The difference between ancient Greek art and modern day art is that today we have more skill and things we can do to improve the way it looks. During the classical era of Greek art there was no emotion. Today we pour our feelings into our art. We try let people feel what we do.
