Washington High School Softball Team Claims Class 4 State Championship
Washington High School’s dominant and memorable softball season ended with state championship on Friday afternoon, October 27. Playing in the MSHSAA Class 4 Championships at Killian Softball Complex in Springfield, Washington completed its historic season with wins of 16-1 over Parkway West in the semifinals and 3-1 over Helias in the championship game. Pride of Washington Places 21st Overall at Bands of America
Washington High School’s Marching Band, “The Pride of Washington” competed at the Bands of America St. Louis Regional on Saturday, October 28. The Pride competed against 65 other bands representing eight states is one of the most difficult competitions in the Midwest. Click here for the story.
Sixth-Grade Students Visit Four Rivers Career Center for BUILD Program
Four Rivers Career Center held sixth-grade build days from October 9-13. Every sixth-grade student from the School District of Washington had the chance to visit the Career Center to learn about the different programs and opportunities available, and also participate in activities. Perry, Hagedorn, Buddemeyer Inducted Into WINGS Hall of Honor
The School District of Washington’s WINGS Educational Foundation inducted its 14th class into the Hall of Honor on Saturday, September 30, at the Washington Elks. The Hall of Honor was initiated in 2009 to recognize alumni, former educators, and community contributors who have shown exceptional personal, community or professional achievement.
