LET THE ADVENTURE BEGIN
Week of September 21 - 25
STAFF SPOTLIGHT
MS. MEGAN SMITH
MS. DONNA DUNCAN
Donna Duncan has gone above and beyond for her students, and has done whatever it takes to make sure her students are thriving during NTI. She recently downloaded all assignments for a student on a jump drive just so that student would have access at home. She is constantly helping with technology questions and brings a win-win attitude to school every day. Ms. Duncan represents positivity inside and outside of her classroom, and is ready to take on any challenges the future may bring at Chandler! #whateverittakes
MS. JULIE SCHNEIDER
Mrs. Schneider comes to work each day with a smile and a positive attitude. She is dedicated to being the best teacher she can be, whether she is teaching in-person, small groups, or through NTI. Mrs. Schneider had the foresight to send home manipulatives with students in order to help the students break apart words and numbers during live Google Meet lessons. Not only does she think ahead, she is also a problem solver. When a student in her class was struggling to complete assignments, and she was unable to reach the parents, she still did not give up! She instead reached out to the teacher of the older brother in order to relay a message to the family. Mrs. Schneider not only goes above and beyond for her students but is also a supportive and collaborative co-worker, even being mentioned in weekly check-ins. Mrs. Schneider is an excellent example of doing whatever it takes!

TECH TIP - DIGITAL CHOICE BOARDS!
Digital Choice Boards are always a hit with students! Who doesn’t love the opportunity to show what they’ve learned in a unique way that fits them best? It is a great way for students to think about the same content and/or skills in multiple ways and gives you an opportunity to differentiate learning while hitting multiple learning styles. If you would like to make a choice-board for your digital classroom, you can find free templates here. For more ideas, see the supplemental choice boards that Jefferson County Public School is putting out for students at each grade level here. Please see Ms. Risinger with any questions!
