The ASVAB CEP helps you identify your skills and interests so that you can find potentially satisfying career fields and explore all of the paths you can take to gain entry into your career field of choice

R.E. Ginna Scholarship Opportunity

R.E. Ginna Scholarship Program

Deadline to apply: May 10, 2022 3:00 pm CT

R.E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant, LLC has established a scholarship program to assist students who plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs. Scholarships are offered each year for full-time study at an accredited institution of the student’s choice.

The program is administered by Scholarship America®, the nation’s largest designer and manager of scholarship, tuition assistance, and other education support programs for corporations, foundations, associations, and individuals. Eligibility for individual programs is determined at the sole discretion of the sponsor, and eligible applications are reviewed by Scholarship America’s evaluation team. Awards for this scholarship are granted to eligible recipients without regard to creed, religion, sexual orientation, age, disability, or national origin.

Applicants to the R.E. Ginna Scholarship Program must be:

  • High school seniors attending Webster Schroeder High School, Webster R. L. Thomas High School, James A. Beneway High School, or Gananda Central High School.
  • Planning to enroll in full-time undergraduate study at an accredited two-year or four-year college, university, or vocational-technical school for the entire upcoming academic year.
  • Planning to major in engineering technologies, physical science (such as chemistry, physics, environmental science or biology, etc.) or a skilled/craft trade (such as welder, boilermaker, pipe-fitter, etc.)
  • Have a minimum ‘B’ grade point average (GPA) of 85% or 3.00 on a 4.00 scale or the equivalent.

NAGE (National Association of Government Employees) Scholarship

Scholarships are available to members of NAGE, IBPO, IBCO, and IAEP, and the member's spouse, child, grandchild, niece, nephew, or significant other. The application takes about 3 minutes to complete. Scholarship recipients will be chosen in a random drawing at the June National Executive Board meeting.

Brower Youth Award Scholarship:

Each year the Brower Youth Award recognizes the work of six young leaders who are making strides in the environmental movement. Each of the six recipients of the Brower Youth Awards will receive a $3,000 cash prize, a professionally produced short film about their work from an Emmy award winning film crew, and flight and lodging accommodations for a week long trip to the San Francisco Bay Area.
