Our Vision: Learning and Growing in Christ
Dear Parents and Caregivers

As we all know Auckland city, as well as other parts of the country, has suffered unprecedented amounts of rain and many people have had their lives turned upside down by the flooding. That on top of the cost-of-living crisis many are already facing, has put some people in dire straits.
We’ve seen and perhaps know of many generous people, often affected themselves, helping to bring relief to people who are suffering and displaced. They shine their light and they inspire us.
Jesus asks us to shine our light in the sight of others not for our own sake or that others will sing our praises but that seeing our good works they may give the praise to the Father in Heaven.
Never underestimate the influence we can have - We are the salt of the earth, we are the light of the World.
Blessings on your week ahead.
Message from the Principal
Dear Parents
What a lovely buzz around our school this morning as everyone returning to school appeared happy and excited to see their friends and continue on their learning pathway.
We warmly welcome all our new students who will be beginning their learning journey here at Holy Cross Catholic School. Today we welcomed 35 new families to our school.
We have had some families who have moved to other schools, migrated overseas or transferred to other regions because of their work situations and the recent flooding. This has impacted on our original class numbers and so we have made the necessary adjustments to ensure all class numbers are evenly balanced. Thank you to you all for your understanding in this matter.
At present our roll is almost at its maximum with only a few spaces across the school. We will review our waiting lists after week 3 (17 February) and will contact anyone on the waiting list if we are able to offer them a place.
We wish to remind all families who wish for their children to attend Holy Cross Catholic School to complete an enrolment form and submit it to ensure their child’s information is on our waiting list database.

Please make ensure that your children are not having unnecessary days off school, always arriving late or being picked up early.
