October 17 - 21, 2016

10/17 - 10/21

Hello all,

We have approached the end of the first quarter and are coming up on fall break. I am so proud of our class and all that we have accomplished up to now. I have spoken to the class and reminded them that all work for this quarter is to be turned in by Monday, October 17, 2016 so I can have grades finalized for report cards.

Picture day is scheduled for Thursday, October 20, 2016. Please make sure to either purchase your photo package online or submit the order form that was sent home with your child last Friday.

I thank all of you for making sure the permission slips and money were turned in for the Chicago Art Institute Field trip and want to especially thank the 8 parents who volunteered to chaperone. I hear that it will be a fantastic trip for all!

We successfully completed our Personal Narratives this week and I will be grading them as fast as I can in hopes that I can include them in this quarters grades.

We will be finishing Tuck Everlasting this upcoming week and taking our test. I will make sure they have something to review whether it is a game or a packet. We will also complete our novel study folder and I will grade them. The students will then pick out a project from a list that I provide to complete the last two weeks that I will be here. We will be watching the movie that goes along with the book. It is rated PG so please email me if you have any questions or concerns. I will do my best to answer any questions/concerns that you have.

In Indiana History this week, we will be completing a map project in class. It will only come home if they struggle to complete it.

I believe I covered everything. If I think of anything else I will let you all know:-)

Kind Regards,

Jessica Leib
