MESSAGE FROM THE PRINCIPAL
Another week has gone by and I often say, “I can’t believe how fast the school year is going!” Time flies when you are having fun I guess.
Students had a busy last two weeks completing MAP tests. During the week of Jan 30, your student will be participating in a Student Engagement Survey. This survey was written by the district and takes less than 10 minutes to complete. It asks students to respond to questions in areas related to environment, learning, and relationships. Information from this survey is used by teachers and administrators to identify areas of improvement related to the student experience. If you have questions about the survey, please feel free to contact me.
Starting on the 23rd and going through February 23rd, we will be holding a Box Top 4 Education contest. Please be sure to read the flier below on how easy it is to raise money for Robinwood. Anyone can help, share this information with family members too! Classrooms will be in the race to win extra recess, new books for the classroom and a teacher gift card for supplies for their room.
Sincerely,
Mrs. Bombien
Robinwood Principal

See you there!
REGISTRATION FOR NEXT SCHOOL YEAR IS NOW OPEN!
Registration opens at noon on Monday, December 5th for the 2023-24 school year on our website here. Registration is for any new families to Franklin or new students looking to register for next year in 4K, 5K or up through 12th grade. If you have any friends or family in Franklin that plan to have children attend Franklin Public Schools next year, please pass this information along to them! Registering early helps to get all information in our system for planned communications.
Please note that any student that is already attending Franklin Public Schools DOES NOT need to register for next school year as a new student. This includes students already in Preschool Speech, Early Childhood, and 4K. All parents/guardians will be required to review your student’s data during our summer Back-To-School Online Check-In process. Any family who knows a student will not be returning for the next school year should notify your school’s main office staff.
ROBINWOOD PTO FAMILY GAME NIGHT
February 3, 2023
6-8 PM
Join other Robinwood families for a night of fun and games!
Click HERE to sign up to volunteer or to let us know what game(s) you would like to share for the night!
During game night, families will rotate to a different game every 20-30 minutes. The goal is to give everyone a chance to learn new games and play with different people, not necessarily finish an entire game. Children are required to be accompanied by an adult for this event.
Please consider signing up to bring your favorite game to share for the night or donating any games your family has outgrown for future game nights. Games can be sent to school and dropped off in the office prior to 2/3 or you can bring them to game night. Please remember to label all games with your name or “donate” for easy return of games.
DRESS FOR THE WEATHER
Wisconsin weather is upon us! Please make sure your son/daughter is dressed appropriately for the cold weather with hats, gloves, scarves, boots and snow pants. Snow pants and boots are required to be worn in order for students to play in the snow. However, this being Wisconsin, it can become warm and sunny by noontime. Please remind your child if they choose to remove their jacket during recess they are to be tied around their waist and not left on the playground.
The decision to have an outdoor or indoor recess is based on both the wind speed and temperature at 11:30 am. All students are required to go outside for recess daily unless the windchill is below zero or it is raining. If it is an outside recess day, all students must go outdoors. Please label your child's coat, hat, boots, & mittens with their name.
ROBINWOOD SNOW BAGS AVAILABLE
Robinwood has snow bags available for $8.00 each. If you would like to purchase one please send exact cash or make a check payable to Franklin Public School to the school office. These are great bags to hold snow pants, mittens, hats, boots, & any other winter gear. If you purchase a bag, the office will write your students last name on it unless you let us know otherwise. See photo below:
ATTENDANCE REMINDER
ANY absence including leaving early and arriving late are reported on a google form. HERE is the link to report absences. It would be a good idea to bookmark this link for your convenience.
